Little Women 13

As this is my last post for this month, I will sum up several chapters:

I like how Mr. Marsh tells the grand-son the truth about things and his attitude towards learning… “If he is old enough to ask the question he is old enough to receive true answers. I am not putting the thoughts into his head, but helping him unfold those already there. These children are wiser than we are, and I have no doubt the boy understands every word I have said to him.”

I hate how the author just kills Aunt March off as suddenly as she did the pets (see previous posts) “Aunt March died suddenly. But when their first sorrow was over—for they loved the old lady in spite of her sharp tongue—they found they had cause for rejoicing, for she had left Plumfield to Jo, which made all sorts of joyful things possible”…. Though it is nice that it gives Jo and Mr. Bhear a purpose in life. “Boys. I want to open a school for little lads—a good, happy, homelike school, with me to take care of them and Fritz to teach them.”
